World Energies Summit 2026 to Showcase Sri Lanka’s New Offshore Licensing Round in London

Sri Lanka's offshore ambitions are firmly in motion - and we're delighted to confirm the country's participation at the World Energies Summit.

This week, Sri Lanka opened its 2026 Licensing Round, putting four offshore blocks spanning close to 34,000 km² in the Mannar Basin out to international bidders; a significant opportunity for them to evaluate acreage within the country's most established offshore petroleum basin, where previous exploration has demonstrated the presence of a working petroleum system.

That Licensing Round comes to London this September, where operators, investors and service companies tracking South Asia's frontier basins have the opportunity to hear directly from - and meet - Dr Neil DeSilva, Director General, Petroleum Development Authority of Sri Lanka (PDASL) and to be part of the conversation as the country's upstream journey continues.
