The Big Five Board Awards 2024 have the distinction of being the longest-running African-centric oil & gas awards, and they remain true to their original objective – to celebrate the very best individual and corporate contributions to the continent’s energy sector.  

Last year’s winners in the company categories included TGS, ENI, Azule Energy, Sonangol, whilst Maggy Shino and Eleanor Rowley were winners of the individuals’ awards.

As in previous years, we’re asking you to nominate who you think should make the finalist stage across five categories. You have until the 12th April to do so before the winners are decided via delegate voting during the Africa Energies Summit.

  • ELEPHANT - Distinguished Individual Contribution to the African Energy Industry

  • LION - Distinguished Corporate Contribution to the African Energy Industry

  • LEOPARD - Africa's Independent Player of the Year

  • BUFFALO - Service & Supply Company of the Year

  • RHINO - African National Oil Company of the Year

  • SPECIAL CATEGORY - Africa’s Legend Award
