Alchemist’s leadership moonshot at the Energy 2050 Summit

You know what they say, "there's no rest for the weary." And wow, have we been weary since the Energy 2050 Summit wrapped! Not only has our team who attended the event been working hard to showcase Alchemist’s place as the people partner in the energy sector transition to a net zero future, but most of the Alchemist’s in attendance were so captivated by the content of the conference, they’ve been a bit side-tracked spreading the good word about the amazing work UK PLC is doing to secure domestic energy efficiency, sustainability and security, with ScottishPower and National Grid bookending the two day event with standout thought leadership.

We're writing today to give you a quick recap of our thoughts on both the summit and our sponsorship experience. Spoiler alert: attending the event was exceptional and if you’ve been tempted to come to this event, do it! But first, let's talk about why we sponsored this year's event. It all started with two very important questions...

What could we offer the delegates?

The Energy 2050 Summit organised by Frontier Energy Network was the perfect place to learn about how to embrace change through great leadership. Rapid change is happening all around us in the UK energy sector, so it's even more important than ever for the people in the energy sector to embrace that change and maximise the potential for real and sustained progress.

Alchemist is expert at the transformation of people and often we bring this to life by using actor-led real play scenarios for participants to observe and feedback on what they see. This method teaches the participants how to use human interactions to drive innovation, performance and talent retention, which is in danger of being neglected over the push for technology, investment and deregulation in the sector as the drivers for transformation.

Alchemist aimed to make the most of this conference by giving delegates a taster of how we work with live actors and realplay scenarios to observe human interaction and evaluate it in a safe space.
