Promote the development of hydrocarbon research and exploitation activities;

Manage calls for tenders and direct negotiations relating to petroleum contracts in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Code;

Examine the work programs, development, production or rehabilitation plans for the sites, as well as the corresponding budgets submitted to the Government by the holders of Petroleum Rights;

Manage Oil Rights by ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Oil Code, its implementing texts and contractual provisions;

Carry out geological and geophysical work on behalf of the State.
